The Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 (codename "sheng") is Xiaomi's flagship tablet featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The firmware is currently split: China and Global models have moved to Android 16 (HyperOS 3.0), while EEA and other regional models remain on Android 15 (HyperOS 2.0).

DANGER: Anti-Rollback Protection is Active. Check the Build ID prefix!
  • Android 16 (HyperOS 3.0): China (CN) and Global (MI) ROMs (Build starts with 'W').
  • Android 15 (HyperOS 2.0): EEA, Russia, Indonesia ROMs (Build starts with 'V').
  • Anti-Rollback Risk: If your tablet is on an Android 16 ('W' build), DO NOT attempt to flash an Android 15 ROM ('V' build) and lock the bootloader. This will trigger ARB and hard-brick the device.
  • Cross-Flashing: You can switch between regions, but you MUST keep the bootloader UNLOCKED if moving between Android 15 and 16.

✅ The Requirements​

  • PC/Tools: A Windows PC.
  • Bootloader: An unlocked bootloader on your Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro.
  • Cable: A reliable USB-C cable.
  • Backup: A full backup of your data (Flashing will wipe internal storage).
  • Software: Xiaomi MI Flash Tool installed on your PC.
  • Drivers: Qualcomm USB drivers installed.


➡️ How to Flash the Firmware​

These firmware files are flashed using the Mi Flash Tool. This will erase all your data.

Method 1: Flashing Fastboot ROM (.tgz)​

  1. Step 1: Download your chosen
    Code: 
    .tgz
    firmware file and extract it to a simple folder on your PC (e.g.,
    Code: 
    C:\sheng_rom
    ). Do not use a folder path with spaces.
  2. Step 2: Download, extract, and run MiFlash.exe as an administrator.
  3. Step 3: Power off your tablet completely. Boot into Fastboot Mode by pressing and holding the Power + Volume Down buttons until the fastboot logo appears.
  4. Step 4: Connect your tablet to the PC via USB. Click the "Refresh" button in Mi Flash Tool to detect the device.
  5. Step 5: Click "Select" and navigate to the extracted firmware folder (the folder containing the

    images
    folder).
  6. Step 6 (CRITICAL): At the bottom of the tool, select "Clean all".
    • WARNING: Do NOT select "Clean all and lock" if you are cross-flashing regions or downgrading Android versions (A16 -> A15). This will BRICK your tablet.
  7. Step 7: Click "Flash" to begin. The process may take several minutes.
