The Requirements
- Backup: Always back up your data before flashing.
- Battery: Must be charged to at least 50%.
- For SD Card Method: A MicroSD card (min 4GB) formatted to FAT32.
- For PC/SP Flash Method: A Windows PC, a USB cable, and MediaTek USB VCOM Drivers installed.
How to Flash the Firmware
Choose the method based on the file you downloaded.Method 1: SD Card Update (Soft-Brick Fix)
- Step 1: Download the OS_Acer_RV09RC01...zip file. Do not extract it.
- Step 2: Copy the zip file to the root directory of your MicroSD card.
- Step 3: Insert the SD card into your tablet.
- Step 4: Boot into Recovery Mode: Power off, then press and hold Volume Up + Power. Release Power when the Acer logo appears, but keep holding Volume Up.
- Step 5: Navigate with Volume keys to "Apply update from external storage" and press Power.
- Step 6: Select the zip file and confirm. The system will update and reboot automatically upon completion.
Method 2: SP Flash Tool (Hard-Brick Fix)
- Step 1: Download and extract the Acer_Iconia_Tab_10...MT8163...zip file on your PC.
- Step 2: Download and launch the SP Flash Tool (guide link here).
- Step 3: In the tool, click "Scatter-loading" and select the
file from your extracted firmware folder.Code:

- Step 5: Click the Download button.
- Step 6: Connect your powered-off tablet to the PC via USB. The flashing process should begin automatically.
