‼️ CRITICAL WARNING: ANDROID 16 vs 15 (ARB) ‼️
DANGER: Anti-Rollback Protection is Active. Check the Build ID prefix!
  • 'W' Prefix (Android 16): Available for China (CN), Global (MI), and EEA.
  • 'V' Prefix (Android 15): Available for Russia (RU), Indonesia (ID), Taiwan (TW), Turkey (TR), Japan (JP).
  • Anti-Rollback Trap: If your device is currently running an Android 16 ('W' build), DO NOT attempt to flash an Android 15 ROM ('V' build) and lock the bootloader. Downgrading the Android version with a locked bootloader will trigger ARB and hard-brick the device.

➡️ How to Flash the Firmware​

These firmware files are flashed using the Mi Flash Tool. This will erase all your data.

  1. Step 1: Download your chosen
    Code: 
    .tgz
    firmware file and extract it to a simple folder on your PC (e.g.,
    Code: 
    C:\rothko_rom
    ). Do not use a folder path with spaces.
  2. Step 2: Download, extract, and run MiFlash.exe as an administrator.
  3. Step 3: Power off your phone completely. Boot into Fastboot Mode by pressing and holding the Power + Volume Down buttons until the fastboot logo appears.
  4. Step 4: Connect your phone to the PC via USB. Click the "Refresh" button in Mi Flash Tool.
  5. Step 5: Click "Select" and navigate to the extracted firmware folder.
  6. Step 6 (CRITICAL): At the bottom of the tool, select "Clean all".
    • WARNING: Do NOT select "Clean all and lock" if you are cross-flashing regions or downgrading Android versions (A16 -> A15). This will BRICK your phone.
  7. Step 7: Click "Flash" to begin. The process may take several minutes.
