The Redmi Pad 2 4G (codename "koto") is Xiaomi's budget-friendly tablet that brings 4G LTE connectivity to the entry-level segment. Powered by the MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra, it runs on HyperOS 2.0 (Android 15). Flashing the official Fastboot ROM is necessary for users who need to unbrick their tablet, fix software glitches like bootloops, or perform a clean system installation.

‼️ CRITICAL WARNING: DEVICE VARIANT ‼️
Please verify your device model carefully:
  • Codename Match: This firmware is ONLY for the Redmi Pad 2 4G (codename "koto").
  • Wrong Device: Do NOT flash this on the Wi-Fi-only Redmi Pad 2 ("taiko"), the Pro version ("flute"), or the older Redmi Pad. Flashing the wrong file will hard-brick the device.
  • Region Lock: Be careful when cross-flashing regions. If you flash a Global ROM on a China device (or vice versa), DO NOT lock the bootloader, or the device will be bricked.

). Do not use a folder path with spaces.
  2. Step 2: Download, extract, and run MiFlash.exe as an administrator.
  3. Step 3: Power off your tablet completely.
  4. Step 4: Boot into Fastboot Mode by pressing and holding the Power + Volume Down buttons until the fastboot logo appears.
  5. Step 5: Connect your tablet to the PC via USB. Click the "Refresh" button in Mi Flash Tool to detect the device.
  6. Step 6: Click "Select" and navigate to the extracted firmware folder (the folder containing the

    folder).
  7. Step 7 (CRITICAL): At the bottom of the tool, select "Clean all".
    • WARNING: Do NOT select "Clean all and lock" if you are cross-flashing regions. This will BRICK your tablet.
