The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G (codename "obsidian") is the latest 4G flagship in the Redmi Note series. It is powered by the new MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra processor and ships with HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 15. Flashing these official Fastboot ROMs is the standard way to unbrick the device, fix system errors, or manually upgrade the OS.

‼️ CRITICAL WARNING: 4G vs 5G MODEL ‼️
Please verify your device model carefully before flashing:
  • Correct Device: This firmware is ONLY for the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G (codename "obsidian").
  • Wrong Device: Do NOT flash this on the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G ("amethyst") or Pro+ 5G ("zircon"). Flashing 4G firmware on a 5G device (or vice versa) will hard-brick the phone due to chipset differences.
  • Region Lock: Be careful when cross-flashing regions. If you do so, DO NOT lock the bootloader. Selecting "Clean all and lock" on a cross-region flash will brick the phone.

✅ The Requirements​

Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
  • PC/Tools: A Windows PC.
  • Bootloader: An unlocked bootloader on your Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G.
  • Cable: A reliable USB-C cable.
  • Backup: A full backup of your data (Flashing will wipe internal storage).
  • Software: Xiaomi MI Flash Tool installed on your PC.
  • Drivers: MediaTek (MTK) USB drivers installed.


➡️ How to Flash the Firmware​

These firmware files are flashed using the Mi Flash Tool. This will erase all your data.

Method 1: Flashing Fastboot ROM (.tgz)​

  1. Step 1: Download your chosen
    Code: 
    .tgz
    firmware file and extract it to a simple folder on your PC (e.g.,

    C:\obsidian_rom
    ). Do not use a folder path with spaces.
  2. Step 2: Download, extract, and run MiFlash.exe as an administrator.
  3. Step 3: Power off your phone completely.
  4. Step 4: Boot into Fastboot Mode by pressing and holding the Power + Volume Down buttons until the fastboot logo appears.
  5. Step 5: Connect your phone to the PC via USB. Click the "Refresh" button in Mi Flash Tool to detect the device.
  6. Step 6: Click "Select" and navigate to the extracted firmware folder (the folder containing the

    folder).
  7. Step 7 (CRITICAL): At the bottom of the tool, select "Clean all".
    • WARNING: Do NOT select "Clean all and lock" if you are cross-flashing regions. This will BRICK your phone.
  8. Step 8: Click "Flash" to begin. The process may take several minutes.
