This post provides the official firmware for two closely related budget phones: the Huawei Y7 2019 (Global models, `DUB-LX...`) and the Huawei Enjoy 9 (Chinese model, `DUB-AL...`). While they share the same "DUB" codename and hardware, their firmware is not interchangeable due to regional differences.

Common user complaints include being "too slow," lag, multi-touch bug, app crashes, or being stuck on the Huawei logo. Flashing an official firmware is the only way to fix these software bugs and unbrick a stuck device.

‼️ CRITICAL WARNING: READ BEFORE FLASHING ‼️
  • File Types and Danger:The files are for different methods:
    1. Dload Files: Standard packages for the user-friendly SD Card method.
    2. QFIL / QPST Files: For PC-based flashing (in EDL mode) to unbrick phones.
    3. Board Software: Factory repair files for EXPERTS ONLY, used to unbrick a dead phone (stuck in QUALCOMM 9008 mode) via the test point method.
  • China vs. Global:
    1. DUB-AL00/TL00 is the Huawei Enjoy 9 (China). This firmware DOES NOT HAVE GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES.
    2. DUB-LX1/LX2/LX3 is the Huawei Y7 2019 (Global). This firmware HAS Google Play Services.

✅ The Requirements​

You will need different tools depending on the method.

For Dload (Method 1) ONLY:​

  • SD Card: A formatted Micro SD card or USB stick (at least 8GB).
  • Backup: A full backup of your personal data.
  • Charge: Your phone charged to at least 50%.

For QFIL / Board Software (Method 2) ONLY:​

  • PC: A Windows PC.
  • Cable: A reliable Micro USB cable.
  • Drivers: Qualcomm QDLoader 9008 drivers installed on your PC.
  • Tool: The QFIL tool (as part of QPST).
  • Expert Skill: (For Board Software) Tools to open the phone and short the test points to force EDL (9008) mode.

➡️ How to Flash the Firmware​


Method 1: Huawei dload (for Dload.zip files)​

Use this method for all files listed in Section 1.
  1. Step 1: Download and extract the correct firmware .zip file for your model (e.g., `DUB-LX1...C185.zip`).
  2. Step 2: Inside the extracted files, locate the `dload` folder.
  3. Step 3: Copy the entire `dload` folder to the root directory of your Micro SD card or USB OTG drive.
  4. Step 4: Power off your Huawei Y7 2019 completely.
  5. Step 5: Insert the SD card/OTG. Press and hold all three buttons: Volume Up + Volume Down + Power. Keep holding until the EMUI update screen appears. The phone will automatically find the file and start flashing.

Method 2: QFIL / QPST (for QFIL, QPST, XML, Board Software files)​

Use this method for all files listed in Section 2 and 3.
  1. Step 1: Download and extract the QFIL tool, Qualcomm drivers, and your chosen firmware file (e.g., `...QPST.zip`).
  2. Step 2: Install the Qualcomm 9008 drivers. Power off your phone completely.
  3. Step 3: Boot your phone into EDL Mode (9008). (This is done by shorting the test points on the motherboard and plugging in the USB cable).
  4. Step 4: Open QFIL.exe. It should detect your phone as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008".
  5. Step 5: Select "Flat Build," then browse and load the `prog_emmc_firehose.mbn`, `rawprogram0.xml`, and `patch0.xml` files from the extracted firmware folder. Click "Download" to begin flashing.
NOTE: The files in Section 2 and 3 are NOT for the dload method. They are factory ROMs that must be flashed using special PC-based tools (like QFIL) and often require the phone to be in a special mode (like test point). This is for advanced repair and unbricking only and is not recommended for regular users.
