The Huawei Y6 II (codename "CAM") was a popular budget phone that, over time, has become known for significant slowness and lag, especially on its EMUI 4.1 software. Other common user complaints include apps crashing, the phone getting stuck on the Huawei logo (bootloop), or in some cases, a "dead boot" or "auto-recovery" loop after a failed update. Flashing an official stock firmware is the only reliable way to fix these software bugs, unbrick a stuck device, or perform a clean installation to restore performance.

✅ The Requirements​

You will need different tools depending on the method.

For Dload (Sections 1 & 3):​

  • Storage: A formatted Micro SD card or USB OTG drive (exFAT or FAT32) with at least 4GB of free space.
  • Backup: A full backup of your personal data.
  • Charge: Your phone charged to at least 50%.

For QFIL (Section 4, CAM-L32):​

  • PC/Tools: A Windows PC.
  • Cable: A reliable Micro USB cable.
  • Drivers: Qualcomm QDLoader 9008 drivers installed on your PC.
  • Software: The QFIL tool (as part of QPST).

For Board Software (Section 2, Kirin Models):​

  • PC/Tools: A Windows PC.
  • Cable: A reliable Micro USB cable.
  • Drivers: Huawei USB COM 1.0 drivers.
  • Software: Specialized PC software (like HMT) and tools to open the phone for test points.

➡️ How to Flash the Firmware​

Please use the method that corresponds to your file and model.

Method 1: Huawei dload (for ...Dload.zip files)​

Use this method for all files listed in Sections 1 & 3.
  1. Step 1: Download and extract the correct firmware .zip file for your model.
  2. Step 2: Inside the extracted files, locate the `dload` folder (which contains a large `update.app` file).
  3. Step 3: Copy the entire `dload` folder to the root directory of your Micro SD card or USB OTG drive.
  4. Step 4: Power off your Huawei Y6 II completely.
  5. Step 5: Insert the SD card/OTG. Press and hold all three buttons: Volume Up + Volume Down + Power. Keep holding until the EMUI update screen appears. The phone will automatically find the file and start flashing.

Method 2: QFIL / QPST (for CAM-L32 ...XMl files)​

Use this method for all files listed in Section 4. This is for the Qualcomm CAM-L32 only.
  1. Step 1: Download and extract the QFIL tool, Qualcomm drivers, and your chosen QFIL XML firmware file.
  2. Step 2: Install the Qualcomm 9008 drivers. Power off your phone.
  3. Step 3: Boot your phone into EDL Mode (9008). (This may require holding Volume Up + Volume Down and plugging in the USB cable, or by using test points).
  4. Step 4: Open QFIL.exe. It should detect your phone as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008".
  5. Step 5: Select "Flat Build," then browse and load the `prog_emmc_firehose.mbn`, `rawprogram0.xml`, and `patch0.xml` files from the extracted firmware folder. Click "Download" to begin.

Method 3: Advanced PC Flash (for HMT / .rar files)​

The files in Section 2 are NOT for the dload method. They are factory ROMs that require special PC software (like HMT) and expert knowledge. They are used for advanced unbricking and repair (e.g., IMEI) and often require opening the phone to use test points. This is for experts only.
