The Requirements (What You Need)
Before you put on the software, you need these things:
- PC: A Windows computer.
- Cable: A good Micro USB cable.
- Backup: A full copy (backup) of your important files (flashing will erase everything).
- Tool: SP Flash Tool (the newest version).
- Drivers: MTK USB VCOM drivers put on your PC.
How to Flash the Firmware (SP Flash Tool)
You must use the SP Flash Tool for these files. Follow these fast steps to start:
- STEP 1: Download and put the MTK VCOM drivers on your computer.
- STEP 2: Download and open the SP Flash Tool and the Huawei_Y5II_CUN-L03...zip file.
- STEP 3: Open flash_tool.exe as an administrator. Click on "Scatter-loading" and choose the MT6735_Android_scatter.txt file from the folder you opened.
- STEP 4: Make sure the list says "Download Only". (DO NOT use "Format All + Download" as it can erase your phone's special numbers called IMEI).
- STEP 5: Click the green "**Download**" button. Turn your Huawei Y5II completely off. Press and hold the Volume Down button, then plug it into the PC with the USB cable to start.
