The Huawei "Dura" (DRA) series includes several budget models: Y5 2018, Y5 Prime 2018, and Y5 Lite 2018. All these devices are powered by the MediaTek MT6739 processor. Users often need stock firmware to fix issues like hanging on the logo, bootloops, FRP locks, or "System UI has stopped" errors. Flashing the correct scatter file via SP Flash Tool is the standard way to unbrick these devices.

✅ The Requirements​

Before flashing, you will need:
  • PC/Tools: A Windows PC.
  • Cable: A reliable USB cable.
  • Drivers: MediaTek (MTK) USB VCOM Drivers installed.
  • Software: SP Flash Tool (latest version).


➡️ How to Flash (SP Flash Tool Method)​

These files are flashed using the SP Flash Tool. This will erase all user data.

Method 1: Flashing Scatter Firmware​

  1. Step 1: Download and extract the firmware zip file. Locate the
    Code: 
    MT6739_Android_scatter.txt
     file.
  2. Step 2: Open SP Flash Tool (
    Code: 
    flash_tool.exe
    ).
  3. Step 3: Click "Scatter-loading" and select the scatter file from the firmware folder.
  4. Step 4 (CRITICAL): Uncheck the "Preloader" box (Recommended to prevent hard-bricking if the preloader version mismatches, unless the phone is already completely dead).
  5. Step 5: Click the "Download" button.
  6. Step 6: Power off your phone completely.
  7. Step 7: Connect the phone to the PC via USB cable while holding the Volume Down button.
  8. Step 8: The flashing process will start (red bar -> yellow bar). Wait for the green checkmark.
