The Huawei Y3 II (LUA-series) is a budget device that is now well-known for severe performance issues. The most common user complaints by far are extreme slowness (lag), constant "storage space running out" errors, apps crashing, and the phone getting stuck on the Huawei logo (bootloop). In many cases, a failed update or corrupted system can lead to a dead boot. Flashing an official stock firmware is the only reliable way to fix these critical software errors, unbrick a stuck phone, and restore the device to a usable, clean factory state.

‼️ CRITICAL WARNING: 3G (MT6582) vs. 4G (MT6735M) ‼️
  • Processor Warning: The Huawei Y3 II (LUA) was sold with two different processors. You MUST flash the file that matches your phone's exact model and chipset. Flashing the wrong one will permanently brick your device.
  • 3G Models (MT6582): These are models like LUA-U02, LUA-U22, LUA-U23. They use the MT6582 chipset.
  • 4G Models (MT6735M): These are models like LUA-L01, L02, L03, L13, L21, L22, L23. They use the MT6735M chipset.
Note: Check your model in "Settings > About Phone" or on the back of the device. This process will erase all your data. Back up everything first.

✅ The Requirements​

You will need different tools depending on the method.

For SP Flash Tool (Method 1):​

  • PC/Tools: A Windows computer.
  • Cable: A reliable Micro USB cable.
  • Backup: A full backup of your important data.
  • Software: SP Flash Tool (latest version).
  • Drivers: MediaTek (MTK) USB VCOM drivers installed on your PC.

For Dload (Method 2):​

  • Storage: A formatted Micro SD card or USB OTG drive (exFAT or FAT32).
  • Backup: A full backup of your personal data.
  • Charge: Your phone charged to at least 50%.

➡️ How to Flash the Firmware​

Please use the method that corresponds to your file and model.

Method 1: Using SP Flash Tool (Most Files)​

Use this method for all SP Flash Tool packages (most files in this list). This is for MediaTek devices.
  1. Step 1: Download and install the MTK VCOM drivers on your computer.
  2. Step 2: Download and extract the SP Flash Tool and the correct firmware for your model (e.g.,
    Code: 
    Huawei_Y3II_LUA-L02...zip
    for 4G or
    Code: 
    Huawei_Y3II_LUA-U22...zip
    for 3G).
  3. Step 3: Run flash_tool.exe as an administrator. Click on "Scatter-loading" and select the MT6735M_Android_scatter.txt (for 4G) or MT6582_Android_scatter.txt (for 3G) file from the extracted firmware folder.
  4. Step 4: Ensure the dropdown menu is set to "Download Only". (Do NOT use "Format All + Download").
  5. Step 5: Click the green "Download" button. Power off your Y3 II completely. Connect it to the computer with the USB cable to start the flashing process. (You may need to hold Volume Down).

Method 2: Huawei dload (for ...SD_Update.zip files)​

Use this method for all files listed in Section 2 (e.g.,

  1. Step 1: Download and extract the
    Code: 
    ...SD_Update.zip
    or
    Code: 
    .rar
    file.
  2. Step 2: Inside the extracted files, locate the `dload` folder (which contains a large `update.app` file).
  3. Step 3: Copy the entire `dload` folder to the root directory of your Micro SD card.
  4. Step 4: Power off your Huawei Y3 II completely.
  5. Step 5: Insert the SD card. Press and hold all three buttons: Volume Up + Volume Down + Power. Keep holding until the EMUI update screen appears. The phone will automatically find the file and start flashing.
