The Requirements (Dload Method)
To flash the standard dload firmware (the first file), you will need:
- Storage: A formatted Micro SD card (exFAT or FAT32) with at least 4GB of free space.
- PC Access: A Windows PC to extract the firmware file.
- Transfer: A USB cable or SD card reader to transfer the file.
- Backup: A full backup of your personal data is essential (data will be erased).
- Power: Your phone must be charged to at least 50%.
How to Flash the Firmware (dload Method)
This is the standard installation method for the dload firmware. Do NOT use this method for the Board Software.
- Extract File: Download and extract the main firmware .zip file (HRY-LX2...05015PMN.zip) on your PC.
- Find Folder: Inside the extracted files, locate the `dload` folder (which contains a large `update.app` file).
- Copy Folder: Copy the entire `dload` folder to the root directory (the main folder) of your Micro SD card.
- Power Off: Power off your Honor 10 Lite completely and insert the SD card.
- Start Flash: Press and hold all three buttons simultaneously: Volume Up + Volume Down + Power. Keep holding until the phone vibrates and the EMUI update screen appears. The phone will automatically start flashing.
