The Huawei Nova 2S (models HWI-TL00 and HWI-AL00) was a popular phone with a Kirin 960 chip and four cameras. Now that the phone is older, many people have problems like the battery dying fast (especially after the EMUI 9 update), the phone being very slow, and apps stopping. The Requirements (What You Need)
You need these things to put on the normal dload files:
- SD Card: A Micro SD card that is formatted (exFAT or FAT32) and has at least 4GB of empty space.
- PC: A Windows computer to open the file.
- Cable: A USB cord to move the file (or an SD card reader).
- Backup: You must have a full copy (backup) of all your personal files.
- Battery: Your phone must have at least 50% battery charge.
How to Flash the Firmware (dload Method)
This is the normal way to put on the dload files (Files 1, 2, and 3). DO NOT use this way for the Board Software file.
- STEP 1: Get the .zip or .rar file and open it on your computer.
- STEP 2: Inside the opened files, find the `dload` folder (it has a big `update.app` file and other folders).
- STEP 3: Copy the whole `dload` folder to the main part of your Micro SD card (not inside any other folder).
- STEP 4: Turn your Huawei Nova 2S all the way off.
- STEP 5: Put in the SD card. Then, press and hold all three buttons at the same time: Volume Up + Volume Down + Power. The phone will see the `dload` folder and start the update all by itself.
